I woke up every morning not really thinking about my life and future. I worked hard to satisfy my heart, yet my soul is void of the zest, vigour and satisfaction I needed.
I took to some vices. I drank; I smoked to make me feel high. I thought they could fill the vacuum of my soul. The more I tried them, the more I feel frustrated and empty.
I tried to multiply money and women around me. Yet nothing seems to provide the solution. The emptiness in my soul cries out for satisfaction.
I tried any form of fun and humour yet in the middle of the night I felt the loneliness in my heart. I saw my soul void and lacks peace.
Is there yet something I need to do to fill this emptiness? Is there really satisfaction and peace in this life? Can a man really have peace and serenity in his soul? These questions bordered me. I saw all the insecurity in my soul. I saw how badly I needed peace and fulfilment.
I checked out where else can I do to have it. Until I found Jesus Christ. You see, every man wants to be around tomorrow. The only guarantee you’ll have of a future is to have the eternal one on the inside of you. I found Him. He is JESUS CHRIST the son of God.
When I accepted Jesus as my Lord and saviour I found the satisfaction my soul sought for. I now know what true satisfaction and peace means. My desire for lasting peace I found in Jesus. Thank God I am Born Again.
Jesus said,
"Come to me, all you toiling and burdened ones, and I will give you rest. Matt 11:28 (WNT)
John 14:27 “Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.”
Your life may be like mine in those days of my emptiness. Jesus is the ONLY ONE who can fill the emptiness in your soul and give you true peace and satisfaction. Accept JESUS into your heart today.
Pray this written prayer with me.
Lord Jesus, I believe that you suffered all the penalty for my SINS and that you paid the full price so that there is no more sins laid to my CHARGE. Jesus you loved me too much to let me die for my own sins. I accept you into my heart now. Come and cleanse my heart. And fill this emptiness in my soul. Thank you for saving me. Amen.
